Bachelor's Thesis - Music Visualisation

Social media has become a big part of society and is still rising in popularity. Looking at newer media like TikTok or some older media like YouTube, one main feature is shared by the most popular platforms today: "audio". It doesn't matter whether it is a hilarious skit, an interesting piece of information, a song, a book review, commentary, a game video, or anything else. They all use sound. It can be in different ways, such as a funny sound, lyrics of a song, a story, music, or something else. But the sounds used always have visuals to enhance the viewing experience, keeping viewers interested and watching longer, which brings more revenue to the creator.

Parameter extraction. Using Unity I had to find a way to access the music and the parameters to use them in the representation.

Parameter visualisation. Visualising the parameters was easy once they were extracted, but visualising them in an interesting way was way more difficult. I iterated many times and tried to get the best result in the time I was given.
